Major Performance Responsibilities and Duties
Provide support, mentoring and training
- Foster productive use of district-supported, standards-based gradebook
- Provide support to staff in computer labs
- Demonstrate the use of technology and data in the classroom to improve teaching and learning
- Provide sustained, job embedded professional development and feedback for District staff that focuses on the integration of technology and proficiency-based grading
- Make continuous improvements in processes, techniques, and procedures related to the use of resources including account creation for students in a large organization
- Continually search for, evaluate, and implement use of new instructional tools, knowledge, and resources
- Assist in the creation of technology policies
- Work with other IT staff to define and implement districtwide technology services, including data reports, for staff and students to meet current needs
- Help educators ask the right questions about data and technology needs
- Constant updating of knowledge through a variety of venues
- Ability to see replicable, sustainable solutions and can articulate them
Plan/facilitate meetings and communication
- Participate in collaborative processes to help develop school technology plans
- Assist in orienting new staff in regards to district systems and available resources
Liaison to Departments, Committees and Community
- Assist in planning for effective implementation of curriculum
- Participate as a member of curriculum adoption and other District committees
- Participate on regional and state committees
- Help others use appropriate and effective techniques for community involvement
